1913  - 
Founder A. F. Wendling begins delivering fresh meats at age thirteen in Charleston, West Virginia.
   
1933
 - 
Business fails during Great Depression but is resurrected by A. F. Wendling behind re-doubled efforts and drive to succeed.
   
1965
 -A. F. Wendling hands over the reigns of the company to sons John and Fred. John remains in the southern markets based out of Pinch, West Virginia.
   
1969 -Fred Wendling expands the business north by acquiring Mountaineer Foods and moving into a 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
   
1972 - 
 Mt. Clair Provisions Co. is acquired.
   
1993 - 
Acquired Central WV Food out of Clarksburg, West Virginia.
   
1995
 -Chris Wendling takes over the reigns of the business from father, Fred, at age nineteen.
   
2007
 -A. F. Wendling acquires Charleston division, J. A. Wendling, Inc.
   
  -Expansion into a 62,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
   
2008
 -Acquired Witmer Foods out of La Vale, Maryland.
   
2009
 -A. F. Wendling, Inc. recognized in West Virginia Department of Commerce Annual Report.
   
2010
 -Celebrating our 97th anniversary behind a new drive for growth on our way to 100 Years of Service to our customers.
