Founded in Charleston, West Virginia in 1913 by Albert F. Wendling, our company has grown to become the largest independent family-owned and operated broadline food service distributor in West Virginia, serving the Mountain State and border markets in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Behind the leadership of third-generation owner and President, Chris Wendling, we look forward to celebrating our 100th Anniversary, driven by a strategy to be as efficient as larger companies with the ability to respond more quickly and personally to customer needs. We are proud to continue the heritage of A. F. Wendling through our own USDA-inspected meat processing facility offering custom cuts of fresh meats. Looking beyond the center of the plate, we offer value-added services including menu planning, dietary and nutritional support, food safety expertise, and a unique brand of personalized customer service.
